Vacation Bible School

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to God.  And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him”  Colossians 3: 16-17

Vacation Bible School is a wonderful gift you can give your children.  This gift will enrich their faith during a week dedicated to bringing scripture alive.  They’ll hear the Word in a new way during a week  filled with activities…prayer, theatre, crafts, music, games, videos, science, leadership opportunities and much more!

Vacation Bible School is open to children in Pre-K (must be 4 yrs. old by October 1 of the current year, and potty trained) thru 6th grade.  Child must register for the grade he or she will enter in September.

Registration begins in early May and forms will be available after all masses.  Registration is limited to the first 175 children.  There is a registration fee.

The program is held in early July from 9 am to 12 noon in the school gymnasium and on the grounds and cafeteria of the school.  Snack time is included.

Volunteers help make this program possible.  Parents and members of the Parish are always needed.  You’ll be there to help children enjoy their experience.  The criteria is that you love God and your love children.  And all are encouraged to help provide items for needy children, an activity which encourages service among our young people.

On the last day of Bible School your children will participate in s special closing ceremony which always includes a praise and worship song offered by each age group.  The music is contemporary and the students dance and sing with joy and enthusiasm on the steps of the altar…an experience they really look forward to each year.  We urge parents and grandparents to attend and support them.

“The success of the Vacation Bible School Program was measured at the closing program; to hear our children praise and sing to God brought tears of joy to the hearts of all.”  Dee Grad, Coordinator

Plan ahead and mark your calendar so your child will not miss the adventure, the reaching out to help others, the companionship, the growing in faith, the friendship and fun of a week at Vacation Bible School.  Watch for the announcement in your Bulletin in early Spring.  Contact Diane Grad at Email: djmgrad@aol.com.

Mission Statement

As baptized Roman Catholic Christians, fully alive in the Holy Spirit, the parish of St Veronica radically proclaims our call to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. United with the Universal Church and centered in the celebration of the Eucharist, we recognize our call to holiness and transformation, leading us to experience a new springtime of evangelization. We strive to make our community a genuine school of prayer, where the faithful may fix their eyes on Christ until their hearts burn within them....
