Religious Education for Children

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up with the training and instruction of the Lord.”   Ephesians 6:4

Parents will find complete information about our Religious Education Program for your grade school children under Spiritual Formation.  Families with Pre-School age children are urged to consider our Wee Wisdom Program.

Pre School Program: Wee Wisdom

“But Jesus called for them and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.  Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, will never enter it.”  Luke 18: 16-17

‘Wee Wisdom’ is a Pre School religious education program for 4 and 5 year old children.  The instruction offers an introduction to God and his love for each child.  Your child will learn the basics of the Mass, including the altar, the chalice and the vestments worn by the priest.  They’ll enjoy preparing for the special celebrations of the Church including the feasts of the Annunciation, Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter and Pentecost.  Your child will feel secure in family worship and being Catholic.  The program instruction is based on the Montessori method.

Wee Wisdom classes are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  All classes are held at St.Veronica School from 4:15 to 5:30, throughout the school year.

Mission Statement

As baptized Roman Catholic Christians, fully alive in the Holy Spirit, the parish of St Veronica radically proclaims our call to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. United with the Universal Church and centered in the celebration of the Eucharist, we recognize our call to holiness and transformation, leading us to experience a new springtime of evangelization. We strive to make our community a genuine school of prayer, where the faithful may fix their eyes on Christ until their hearts burn within them....
