Miraculous Medal Novena

“Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!”

In 1830 Saint Catherine Laboure, a novice of the Daughters of Charity in France, was praying with other sisters in the chapel.  A vision of Mary, Mother of Jesus, and our heavenly Mother, appeared to her, directing the young girl to have a medal struck in the form she saw in her vision.  Around the figure of Mary the words, “Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee” were written. Mary promised, “All who wear it will receive great graces”.  The medal honors Mary’s Immaculate Conception.  “Now it must be promulgated”, Saint Catherine proclaimed.

Members of the parish family are invited to come to the Miraculous Medal devotion, held every Monday evening at 8 pm in the Church.  The devotion includes the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the Holy Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Benediction.  Wear your Miraculous Medal, great graces will flow!

Mission Statement

As baptized Roman Catholic Christians, fully alive in the Holy Spirit, the parish of St Veronica radically proclaims our call to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. United with the Universal Church and centered in the celebration of the Eucharist, we recognize our call to holiness and transformation, leading us to experience a new springtime of evangelization. We strive to make our community a genuine school of prayer, where the faithful may fix their eyes on Christ until their hearts burn within them....
