Mary Queen of Peace Prayer Group

“Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: “The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the poor have the good news preached to them.”      Matthew 11:4,5

The Mary Queen of Peace Prayer Group meets every Friday night at 8:30 PM at St Veronica’s Church.  Our mission is to spread the Good News of salvation as commanded by the Lord.

We start our prayer meetings with the Divine Mercy Chaplet, followed by the Holy Rosary to our Mother Mary.  Then we sing in Praise and Worship of our Lord.  Members of the group begin a series of formal prayers, each followed by a song.  Finally, the program focuses on preparation for Sunday Mass with reflections from our members on the readings and gospel.  All are invited to share a little fellowship after the prayer meeting.

Every First Friday of each month we sponsor a Healing Mass at 8:30 PM, as God has asked us to do HIS work here on earth.  We perform individual corporal works of mercy outside of the prayer community.  Members come from many area parishes.

Mission Statement

As baptized Roman Catholic Christians, fully alive in the Holy Spirit, the parish of St Veronica radically proclaims our call to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. United with the Universal Church and centered in the celebration of the Eucharist, we recognize our call to holiness and transformation, leading us to experience a new springtime of evangelization. We strive to make our community a genuine school of prayer, where the faithful may fix their eyes on Christ until their hearts burn within them....
