Home Enthronement Ceremony

“I will bless every house in which the picture of my Heart shall be exposed and  honored.  I will be their refuge during life and especially at the hour of death.” Words of Our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

The Home Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a blessing of your home and family in the name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Families who wish to participate in this special blessing will choose a place of honor in their home where they will reverently display a picture or a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The solemn enthronement of the Sacred Heart includes your family’s acceptance of Jesus as King of your home and the very center of your lives.

An integral part of the ceremony is the Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart, which expresses our desire to make Our Lord our constant and most intimate companion. At the same time, a picture or a statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is also blessed and solemnly enthroned next to that of her Son.  The family will pray the Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary which expresses our desire to make Mary, the Mother of God, our most loving Mother and Queen of our home. The Enthronement Committee will help you prepare for the ceremony and a priest or deacon will bless your home.  Family and friends are welcome to take part in the ceremony.

Revelations of Our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque:  “He should be honored under the figure of this Heart of flesh and its image should be exposed.  He promised me that wherever this image should be exposed with a view to showing it special honor, He would pour forth His blessings and graces.  This devotion was the last effort of His love that He would grant to men in these latter ages, in order to withdraw them from the empire of Satan which He desired to destroy, and thus to introduce them into the sweet liberty of the rule of His love,, which He wished to restore in the hearts of all those who should embrace this devotion”  “The devotion is so pleasing to Him that He can refuse nothing to those who practice it.”

We strive to make our community a genuine school of prayer, where the faithful may fix their eyes on Christ until their hearts burn within them....
