Bereavement Ministry

“For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or  whether  we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.” Romans 13:7-9

Bereavement team members have felt a call to provide compassionate and spiritual support to individuals and families who have experienced the death of a loved one as well as to assist the bereaved families in planning the Funeral Liturgy for the Mass.  The Diocese of Trenton provides a training program which each member of our ministry completes. The program is under the direction and guidance of the National Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved.  It is designed to provide the Bereavement Team with the knowledge and skills to console all who mourn a loss through death. At the conclusion of the program the participant becomes a registered member of the NCBM for their parish.   If you have a bereavement need or would like to have information about becoming part of this ministry, please contact Diana Morris at 732-364-9292 or Email: grandmad@optonline.net

Mission Statement

As baptized Roman Catholic Christians, fully alive in the Holy Spirit, the parish of St Veronica radically proclaims our call to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. United with the Universal Church and centered in the celebration of the Eucharist, we recognize our call to holiness and transformation, leading us to experience a new springtime of evangelization. We strive to make our community a genuine school of prayer, where the faithful may fix their eyes on Christ until their hearts burn within them....
